As spring arrives, enjoy our colorful program of video works from the Vidéographe collection selected by two young curators: Jacqueline Sirois-Desrues, 6, and Laurier Sirois-Desrues, 3.
After the screening, you are invited to explore different techniques on film with artist Guillaume Vallée. The works created during the workshop will then be digitized and distributed to participants by email.
Come ready to play with colors and markers while developing your creativity and discovering the process of making a film!
Please note that an adult must be present with the child(ren) for the activity to run smoothly.
This free activity is for children aged 6 to 12.

This activity is a collaboration between Vidéographe and the sociocultural center Art Neuf
About the artist
Experimental filmmaker, video artist, and independent curator, Guillaume Vallée graduated from Concordia University with a Major in Film Animation and MFA in Studio Arts – Film Production. He is interested in alternative forms of moving images in analog forms as a way of considering the direct interaction between different mediums. His work is an exploration of materiality within the creative process. In attempts of creating a more complex relationship with his subject matter, Vallée makes use of cross-medium forms that range from camera-less techniques to optical effects, glitches, video feedback, resulting in expended and hybrid pieces. He works mainly on Super8, 16mm, and VHS.
