35th Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois Festival
SCREENINGS AND LAUNCHING
Vidéographe is pleased to announce its multiple presence during the 35th edition of the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois which will take place from February 22 to March 4, 2017.
Among the inevitable festivals, RVCQ take the pulse of Québec cinematographic creation. Vidéographe’s pulse will beat at the rhythm of 16 selected video works including 6 in competition, – documentary, animation, experimental and fiction – created by emerging or well-known artists, and from the diversity.
Vidéographe will also launch Istvan Kantor – Video Anthology, a publication directed by the curator Etienne Desrosiers. Covering more than 30 years of video practice, this publication, along with a selection of 29 video works, highlights the innovative and proteiform practice of the canadian artist, recipient of the Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts in 2004. A screening of Scriptures, Istvan Kantor’s latest short piece, will follow the event. Istvankantor.com
